The Tale of Arsenal Football Club.

On the outskirts of London there lives an old man named Arsene Wenger. He is a 61 year old man who works as manager of Arsenal football club and has done so since 1996. He has brought his club forward a lot in his reign as coach. But in recent years many monsters sniffing around his area have made Arsene who was once happy, very grumpy. Since 2006 the people around his area have taken many of his influential players including Ashley Cole, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg. This has led to a 6 year trophy drought with last year being the closest he's come to a trophy before the big meanie Alex McLeish spoiled the party before it even started.

This made Arsene a little more angry and made the rest of his season incredibly difficult. Soon he had lost the League Cup, went out of the Champions League to his arch nemesis Barcelona who had take Henry all those years ago and had fallen out of the Premier League race. Time went on and no water bottle wanted to be beside Arsene as he spent more time throwing or kicking them than he did drinking out of them. As Arsene got angry the little man Pat Rice who accompanied Arsene through the train wreck left behind by all the departures scampered away from the bench to go the the technical area more and more.

Arsene now entered this season under severe pressure to deliver trophies. Rumours floated around about big money Summer acquisitions. Juan Mata, Gary Cahill, Chris Samba, Eden Hazard, Jadson and Scott Dann were all linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. But who he has gotten so far is Gervinho formerly of Lille. This added optimism for Arsenal fans and Arsene himself coming into the season. The optimism was short lived as Arsene added more inexperienced young players such as Jenkinson and Oxlaide Chamberlain. But while the optimism was dampened Arsenal still hoped this year could be the year of a great success. They entered the season with a tricky game but one they could overcome versus Newcastle United. Then it became obvious things were not right for Arsene as Nasri and Fabregas, two instrumental players, were dropped from the match squad. The intensity was upped on Arsene and even with Song avoiding a red card for a clear stamp on Joey Barton Arsene's boys could not avoid a red card in the game when Gervinho slapped Joey Barton who dragged him of the ground after a dive which tried to gain Arsenal a penalty.

Arsene remained cool after the game and jokingly said he could only stop Barton's nonsense by signing him. The draw was not the worst possible result Arsenal could have had. People still saw Arsenal as good contenders for the 4th place spot this season. But things took a wicked turn for Arsene and his sidekick Pat Rice. There was a plane departing for Barcelona......
Cesc Fabregas goes back to his first club.
And Arsene had lost his baby with who he had nurtured and developed to the top of his potential, Cesc Fabregas.

Arsene entered the second game of the season and 1st game against one of the top 6, Liverpool, without Cesc but there was a return of Nasri. Even with Nasri the squad was still extremely small and he found himself relying on young man Emmanuel Frimpong. His new man let him down going off with two yellows and after his dismissal Liverpool went on to win the game 2-0 much to the bemusement of fans who booed off the team at full time.

Emmanuel Frimpong the latest in Arsene's bunch of young players.
Even after his appearance against Liverpool there are still doubts over another Arsene developed into the player he is, Samir Nasri's future. He has been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City in recent times and this has added to Arsene's displeasure but he has revealed he is hopeful in keeping the Frenchman for the last year of his contract to the French media. Samir has criticised Arsenal fans over the Summer but he has also said he remains loyal to the club, leaving uncertainty in everybody's mind where he will be come September.
Arsene telling Nasri he should stay in that jersey for life.
No matter whether Samir stays or goes this window, I, like most believe Arsenal may have a slide down the table from last years finish. This may be the year Arsene has to leave the club who he has brought to the top of English football. A top four finish for Arsenal would be the greatest miracle achieved by Wenger to date and to do so he may need to add 3 or 4 world class players. No matter what all we are assured is there will most certainly be a sequel to this Tale later on this season.

Don't Worry Arsene I will have Part II later this Season.
